29Rooms

Last summer, I had the pleasure of taking part in Refinery 29's 29Rooms experience in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I brought along my Canon 70D and my Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 to capture the exhibit with my pals, Megan and Jane.

Now, one year later, I'm happy to share my photos with you. It was so fun to dive back into the edits with one more year of Lightroom experience under my belt. I'll pop in a couple of before and afters too!

Our first stop was a room meant to mimic a womb -- complete with headphones with a heartbeat.
Up next was an open concept area in conjunction with Planned Parenthood.
We also hit up a room partnered with Jake Gyllenhaal where you could shred your fears/worries/what-have-yous in an act of catharsis. I obviously went with the artist's great enemy-- Imposters Syndrome.
Kicked it up a notch in the next room filled with punching bags -- well at least one of us did.
Here's a before and after of Jane. With an experience-based space comes a lot of intense lights, I typically try my best to bring them back to ~natural~ tones.
One of my fave spots to get snaps was by these dancing lights since they were always changing colors! So many possibilities...
...but still can't help but do some color manipulation.
We hit up Lizzo's room, a silent disco complete with disco balls too.
We finished up the day with this gorgeous floral room, an erotic multi-sensory space.
Scroll on to see more assorted snaps from this super cool space -- keep an eyes on their Instagram, you'll never know where one will pop up next!
